After the Bunny Hops....

Whew! This weekend seemed to last forever and i thought Sunday would never end! With all the bubbles and candy and food..it is a wonder I am able to see straight. It was a great weekend though, wasn't it? Everyone got to be with family and kids and enjoy the laughter of young ones.
Last week was good - it was a little boring on our part - the most exciting thing we did was take BOTH of the boys to see Monsters vs. Aliens - it was a good movie - but i expected a little more! Dreamworks has just set themselves higher on the ladder than that in previous films and this fell a little below par for us, but it had some funny moments and Madden and Peyton really seemed to love it. Yes, that's right - Peyton stayed awake (& quiet) then entire movie except for the last 10 minutes when he finally fell asleep! It was great!! I was so proud of them both and thankful there were other families in the theatre with kids who were making comments like mine was, you know the typical things.......wow! what's that? i want coke...usual kid comments! We had a good time, i love it when we get to enjoy our days together - it seems to happen so few times.
We have big plans coming up over the next month - The 25th we are going to the Crawfish Festival in Spring, May 3rd Memaw comes, May 10th is the Astros Game and then who knows....
Easter was crazy.....Maria's sister, husband and 4 kids are still in town - they leave today actually. We hid all the kids eggs and helped them run around and find them..Madden did really good with this - Gamma helped him, but he knew to look for the blue eggs and he found quite a few on his own! Peyton slept......and slept some more - i think he took like a 3 1/2 hour nap in the middle of the day and that was okay b/c it gave us a lot of time to spend with Madden. He got bubbles and he played for the longest time with that and the kids got a kick out of chasing the bubbles down. I am reminded after this weekend though as to why i am only having the 2 kids. I also realize that my patience is only extended out to my children. There were a few mintues of every hour that i thought one of these kids might get a powpow from someone. We spent most of this past weekend at Momma's letting Madden get his fill of playtime. Gamma came for Easter and that was nice to have her and Richard there. I really think that everyone had a great time! I am also glad to see that my Dallas family hada great weekend - i can't believe all the babies and how beautiful they are. Lee and I were talking last night about the pics on Facebook and just how big Abs and Lily are getting and little Brody. I truly have a blessed family!
I posted our pics of Easter weekend already and i am about to order some pics on wal-mart.com, i get to go work out today (which is badly needed) so i can pick them up - plus do some fun little shopping, check out hobby lobby and all the clearance easter goods! i mos def don't need eggs for the next 5 -7 years - we have over 100 of them from this years hunt. It seems like earlier today i wanted to talk about something....but, now.....i don't remember. Oh, we finally found Peyton's room theme (for our non-existent house (the search has been extended up to the Angleton area b/c we found a few houses we liked up there and we want to make sure the house we buy is really the house we want & Lee's boss talked to him about advancement over the next year or so, which would mean he would be working farther north - so for the future it might be better)).
I am attaching the link to this post so you can see how cute and Madden's is still up for discussion. While we want to do CARS, we aren't sure if we want to take a different approach and do like CARS with a twist of old school. we found this material at hobby lobby that has route 66 on it and like pictures of all the towns on the path and incorporate that with it. I keep planning rooms and cchanging my mind on houses........i don't know what we will do yet. But i mos def will need some decorating help so i am up for suggestions and ideas!
love to you all and i will catch you up again..

Springtime......aaaaahhhhhhhh!

I am getting to watch Peyton sleep peacefully this morning and while that is nice, I am missing Madden like mad. This is the 3rd day he hasn't been here - he has been with momma and pawpaw and now their numerous houseguests. Maria's sister is visiting from North Carolina and she has 4 children - Madden is busy keeping up with the bigger kids. I think he is really liking the play time with kids that can run around instead of lay on the floor and try to roll over.
This weekend was fun - with Madden being gone on Saturday morning i got to cook some real food and i made a german chocolate cake with homemade icing - it was amazing. And my chicken and Pepper dish was awesome. I am so proud of myself sometimes b/c i fear i have forgotten to make really good food, like i used to. But then i surprise myself and think, wow, ashlee your right i can cook. We spent the rest of Saturday visiting with Daisy and then Lee and I went and saw Adventureland at the theatre. What? Fast and Furious? Oh..yes, we were supposed to go and see that, too bad we forgot what it was to be like 18 and that we needed to buy our tickets at noon instead of at 7:40! HAHAAHA! It was good fun though and we will make time soon hopefully to get to see F&F. We try to go during the day during the week so we can take the kids and we don't bother anyone. And then we don't have to keep "dumping" the kids off - cause sometimes that is what i feel like we are doing. Even though i know Maria probably doesn't mind have her grandkids a few hours 3-4 days a week.
We didn't take Madden to Monsters vs. Aliens b/c of the company over the weekend - we plan to do it tomorrow. hopefully this will work out - 3rd times a charm, right? Sunday we gave Peyton rice cereal and banana's for breakfast and a little bananas later in the day. He just seems so hungry right now and i think he might be fixing to grow a bit, but we felt it was time. And Maria has been giving him food for about a week - just banana's, but nobody wanted to tell me b/c apparently the first time around with madden i was a little pyscho about the timeline. The banana's have giving Peyton some gas issues and i feel like he is straining so much just to poot. I know it will take some time.....
As of this week i have to officially start getting ready for Memaw. She will be here in about 3 weeks and i have to get her bedding washed and room all set up! I am so excited that she will be here and we have big plans for her when she gets her. We want to take her to a ballgame and then when we go to San Antonio, we have a surprise for her. i will tell whoever asks...but i am not publicly posting it. I think she will have a good time here this summer with all of us! Well...it has taken me almost 2 hours to do this...so now i have to get some lunch!
love to you all -b

what a week.....

I can't believe it is already Friday. OMG! I am not sure where the week went to, but i know it has gone. A few developments with the house and a whole lot of other things to think about and now it just seems like it will be a slow and steady process and we both realize there is no hurry. We will get the house when it is meant to be gotten. But we are super excited about it.
Monday was uneventful... i didn't go work out like i wanted to, but i went on Tuesday so that was good. Ask me if I have been since then? I really have to get better about that. Tuesday, Mom and Richard came and looked at the house and said that it was nice and big and he found very few things he didn't like and he pointed some other things out to me that i wouldn't have known to look for..so that was good. And it was a nice time..we had a good little visit and there were no arguments. YAY!
Wednesday was pretty crummy down here so we stayed indoors and i almost lost my mind..that is what happens when you can't escape the voices saying,"mommy" over and over and over and over again. Lee had off yesterday and we really got to enjoy the day - it was beautiful and we got to take some spring pictures of the kids and be outside for a little while - even though now Madden has a runny nose. Lee and I went shopping for easter baskets last night while the kids were at his moms. Oh..I can't wait for Madden to see all the goodies in his basket. And we only bought like 2 things of candy so we got him more little cheapy kind of toys to play with outside and 52 pieces of sidewalk chalk. You think thats enough? LOL!!
We have a hopefully good weekend planned...Lee has to go to work today and since Madden is sick I am either going to have him to go to Maria's so he doesn't get Peyton sick or we are just staying in today so he can rest and then tomorrow Lee and I have a date. Fast & the Furious!! And then Sunday we will have some family time outside and then take Madden to see Monsters vs. Aliens - he didn't get to go yesterday b/c we got so behind trying to take the pics that we missed the matinee prices and it is just too much to go after 5 p.m. HAHAHA!!!! times are hard.
We decided to do a few different things with the house situation and we should be able to apply for a grant from the county of Brazoria - which will pay our closing costs so we will have to bring nothing to the table. It is a longer closing period though b/c they do this extensive appraisal on the house so that is why it may take a little longer than we had planned to move - but the good thing is ...... we can get a house and we will.
And hopefully Memaw will be here and see that there is plenty of room for her. And then she will stay forever and we won't have to set dates for her to visit. I can dream can't I?
Have a great weekend and talk to you all on Monday!

Love you All!
